Clogging is leading the pack for dancers that are practicing and competing, just like the popular sports teams at many schools, as well as on the professional level. If you know where to look, just about every weekend, year round, you can find a clogging competition in some location in the country. And, as the popular saying goes, you've got to "clog hard, clog tough, or take your shoes and go home" if you want to survive in the world of competition clogging.

We perform to live music. Well, not exactly. Tom, the husband of Maurie, one of the Cripple Creek Cloggers, plays the washtub, also know as the gutbucket in our dance Cripple Creek. He looks like he just came down from the hills of Appalachia. Tom, the gutbucket virtuoso, never misses a beat.
